Atlantic Warriors Hosts Sold-Out Women's Self-Defense Course

The ranks of women that are safe in the Jacksonville, Florida area are growing! Why? Because someone finally cared enough about the sad state of violence in the community to take a stand and do something about it. Many people care and are upset about the constant barrage of violence they see on the news, but only shake their heads, and feel they cannot make a difference. Well, finally, someone has said "Enough is enough", and has taken a stand against the insanity. Who? Is it a famous celebrity that many Americans worship? No. Is it a senator, congressman, or president? No. Is it maybe the mayor, or a brave police officer? Not this time. Then who?
The courageous person that is taking a stand, AND making a real difference in the community is someone you may have never heard of, and looks like you and me. He is a husband, father of two, a brother, and a son. He lives in a middle-class neighborhood, works 7 days a week, and drives a 20-year old truck. By all accounts, you could have passed him in the grocery store and not even thought twice. Yet, there is one interesting thing about the courageous. They, themselves, don't think about courage, or labels, or vanity. Ask any winner of the Congressional Medal of Honor from WWII, and they will tell you they were simply doing what needed to be done. Yet, that soldier saved the lives of others.
The person now equipping women in the Jacksonville, Florida area with real-world self-defense skills to help protect them and their families against rampant violence is the founder of Atlantic Warriors Wing Chun Gung Fu. Atlantic Warriors is an organization dedicated to one thing, and one purpose- to make its community safer, one woman at a time. Instead, of simply teaching martial arts classes, he has decided to share his knowledge with the good citizens of the community for the sole purpose of helping it becoming a safer place. To make this happen he works everyday of the week, both teaching martial arts classes, and preparing for each month's women's peronal protection course.
The next Women's Personal Protection course is Saturday, February 27, 2010 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Visit www.atlanticwarriors.org for details.
